Real Parties: Rockstar 4th Birthday

We finally had our Rock Star 4th birthday party this past weekend and aside from the quick planning- we had a blast! :)

Since the birthday girl is a fan of Hannah Montana, we used Hannah Montana colors: light blue, light purple, with a little pink & silver thrown in.

The colorful number four flags were downloaded from Fog and Thistle, printed and attached to tooth picks as cupcake toppers. Luck for me, the download was available as a free download!

Valeree, Cookies by Valeree, made these fantastic Hannah Montana guitar cookies for us. She did a great job. Due to peanut allergies, I had the cookies made with vanilla extract, instead of almond.

It's quite obvious that i made the cupcakes myself. I used fluffy white icing and food coloring, however, next time I'll try for a thicker icing.

Party Favors

  • Kraft boxes- found at Michael's
  • Star-worthy sunglasses- found at Party City
  • individually wrapped Hannah Montana guitar cookies
  • Hannah Montana pen & paper - found at Hobby Lobby, and
  • A pink candy-filled bag to coordinate with our theme: Pop Rocks, Blow Pop, Ring Pop, rock candy and a candy necklace.
  • Not shown in picture: homemade CD's with music playlist from party

Party Activities

  • Create your own microphones: These were pre-constructed a couple days before (okay, the night before) the party by cutting 5" styrofoam rods (microphone base), then hot glued an aluminum foil wrapped styrofoam ball to the base. At the party, kids decorated with sparkly stickers and crayons or markers.
  • Maracas/Noise Makers: For this we gave each child empty baby food jars and let them fill with assorted candy. Then they decorated with stickers.
